Veterinary Assistant

Milford Animal Hospital is a high-quality, privately owned , four-doctor veterinary hospital seeking a compassionate, motivated, and team-oriented Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team! We are a well-established small animal practice that prides itself on providing exceptional patient care and outstanding client service in a positive, supportive work environment. We are looking for a dependable individual with a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping both pets and their people.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatments Providing in-patient and out-patient nursing care Collecting and processing laboratory samples Filling and dispensing medications Educating clients on home care and treatment plans Maintaining accurate medical records Communicating effectively with clients and team members Cleaning and maintaining hospital facilities and equipment Assisting with administrative and reception duties as needed Delivering exceptional customer service with compassion and professionalism

Qualifications:

Previous veterinary experience preferred but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential Strong organizational and multitasking skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Dependable, punctual, and a true team player Ability to lift and restrain animals safely
