Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate person to join our team. This role is vital in providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess a strong understanding of veterinary terminology and procedures. This position could potentially be a part time receptionist position or a full time position working part time as a receptionist and part time as a vet assistant. Duties Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism, creating a welcoming environment. Schedule appointments, manage the calendar, and handle patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure all client information is up-to-date. Process payments and manage medical collections as needed. Assist veterinarians with various tasks, including animal handling, restraint, and preparation for examinations. Provide information to clients regarding pet care, health concerns, and available services. Maintain cleanliness in the reception area and assist with general office duties. Handle laboratory samples and ensure proper aseptic techniques are followed. Requirements Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred, with knowledge of veterinary terminology. Familiarity with medical collection processes is beneficial. Experience in animal handling Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a calm demeanor with both animals and clients. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members. A commitment to providing high-quality pet care and customer service.
