At Neighborhood Veterinary Clinic, we pride ourselves on providing high-quality, compassionate care in a friendly and welcoming environment. As a locally owned practice, we treat every pet like family and every client like a neighbor. We're currently looking for a caring, organized, and enthusiastic Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant to be the first friendly face our clients and patients see when they walk through our doors.
Position Overview:
This role is ideal for someone who genuinely loves animals and people, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and is eager to support our veterinary team in delivering exceptional care. As our receptionist, you'll play a vital role in building lasting relationships with our clients while keeping the front desk running smoothly.
What You'll Do:
Welcome clients and pets with warmth and professionalism, ensuring every visit starts with a friendly experience. Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient flow to help the team stay organized and efficient. Maintain accurate medical records and assist with estimates, invoices, and payments. Run exam rooms by bringing patients in, collecting patient histories, and ensuring all information is ready before the doctor enters. Support the medical team by helping restrain patients safely and compassionately during exams and treatments (training provided). Prepare and restock exam rooms to keep the clinic clean, organized, and ready for the next patient. Assist with sample collection, treatments, and patient monitoring under veterinary supervision. Communicate clearly with clients about wellness care, treatment plans, and recommended products or services. Collaborate with the entire team to ensure smooth transitions between front desk and medical areas for the best possible patient and client experience. Contribute to a positive, supportive clinic environment where pets and people feel cared for and valued.
What We're Looking For:
A compassionate, client-focused attitude with a sincere love for animals. Strong communication and multitasking skills. Comfort with computers and veterinary practice software (we'll train the right person!). or animal care setting is preferred but not required. Familiarity with medical collections, animal restraint, or basic veterinary terms is a plus. Why Join Us?
