We need a bigger team to help all of the pets in need. We aren't your typical general practice. We are a privately-owned, non-corporate, small-animal and exotic day practice. We see a variety of cases with approximately 80% medical and surgical, 20% wellness. We are a modestly priced clinic and attract a high volume of clients in the Salem metro area and beyond. We are looking for an experienced veterinary assistant/technician with at least 2 years of experience to add to our team. Duties include (but not limited to): Blood draws, digital radiology, IVC placement, obtaining patient history and vitals, client education, EMR medical notes, preparing & explaining estimates, running in-house IDEXX lab equipment, ear cleaning, anal gland expression, vaccinations, U/S guided cystocentesis and more. Preference given to applicants that are also bi-lingual in Spanish and/or credentialed technicians. Additional duties that are preferred but not required are: Anesthetic monitoring, ICU nursing care, O2 cage, CPR, CRI's, dentistry including digital radiographs. Must have excellent communication skills, be a team player and be available to work Saturdays and Sundays. We have a great team and relaxed work environment and some of our staff members have been with us for more than 15 years. New tech school graduates and p/t technicians are also encouraged to apply.
