Salem Oregon Animal Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Veterinary Rehabilitation Assistant for our growing practice in Salem Oregon. If you are an experienced, friendly, patient-focused Veterinary Rehabilitation Assistant who is eager to use your skills and grow in your profession, then we would love to hear from you! The ideal candidate has:

• Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic

• Ability to lift 50#

Required:

• Experience working in the veterinary field

Preferred:

• Certified in Rehabilitation - CCRP / CCRT or equivalent (or interest in obtaining certification)
• Certified veterinary technician
• Experience working in a rehabilitation facility Job duties include:
• Perform individualized physical therapy treatment plans as designed by the rehabilitation clinician such as underwater treadmill, laser therapy, manual therapy, massage, therapeutic ultrasound, E-Stim, etc.
• Monitor response to prescribed therapies and update clinician/record daily
• Tracking of patient progress through rehabilitation plans
• Assisting veterinarian with exams, diagnostics,and other treatments and procedures
• Communicating with clients on patient care, services, and treatments
• Maintaining hospital and rehab equipment - cleaning, organizing, inventory, etc.
• Administrative tasks such as scheduling, answering phones, handling medical records, etc.
• Enter charges and accept payments from clients
• Fit patients for Help'em Up harnesses and demonstrate proper use to pet owners
• Help disabled patients to and from their cars as needed Hourly pay and benefits: Starting pay is competitive and based on relevant experience - $19 - $22 / hr
