Job Description

Overview Veterinary Technician / Experienced Veterinary Assistant We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our general practice team. Our hospital provides care for dogs, cats, and exotic patients, including routine appointments, diagnostics, treatments, and surgery. Certification or a degree in Veterinary Technology is strongly preferred but not required. Relevant veterinary experience will be considered.
Responsibilities include:
  • Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, surgery, and procedures
  • Perform or assist with blood draws, laboratory testing, radiographs, injections, and medications
  • Assist with surgical preparation, anesthesia monitoring, and recovery
  • Safely handle and restrain dogs, cats, and exotic patients
  • Maintain patient records and treatment areas
  • Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients
  • Work effectively as part of the veterinary team
Qualifications:
  • Previous veterinary clinic experience preferred
  • Surgical and anesthesia-monitoring experience is a plus
  • Exotic animal experience is a plus, but not required
  • Good communication, organizational, and people skills
  • Dependable and comfortable working in a busy clinical environment Pay based on experience and qualifications
Pay:
$18.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 40.0 per week
