Job Description

Quakertown Veterinary Clinic is seeking an Veterinary Technician Assistants to join our team! We are a full-service veterinary practice located in Bucks County, PA and provide both routine and 24/7 emergency care to a variety of animals. Our Technician Assistants are the primary support for our Veterinary Technicians, and aid the Technicians by relieving them of some routine hospital responsibilities and caring for hospital patients.

Our ideal candidate is someone who loves animals and would like to assist in providing quality, compassionate care for pets. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in (or already enrolled in) a veterinary technician certification program.

Full-time and part-time opportunities available. Due to the nature and needs of our business, select holidays and a weekly weekend shift commitment are required to best serve our clients and their pets. Additional compensation is offered for select overnight hours, weekends and holidays.

Hours needed: Daytime, and evening. and must work
SaturdaysResponsibilities:
Handle general care tasks such as walking dogs, washing water bowls and litter boxes, sweeping, cleaning cages and stallsAssist in restraining dogs, cats and some large animals (including horses)Washing and folding laundryStocking suppliesSet up and break down of exam rooms and surgery suitesInteract with clients and assist in hospital visitations
Qualifications:
Previous experience in animal handling care preferredAbility to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening mannerAbility to work as part of a teamStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to lift up to lift and/or move up to 10 poundsSpecific vision abilities such as close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus
