As a full-service animal hospital serving Bucks County, we provide both routine wellness care and 24/7 emergency services for companion animals and select large animals. You'll work alongside our veterinarians and licensed veterinary technicians to help deliver exceptional patient care while supporting the daily operations of the hospital.
What You'll DoAs a Veterinary Technician Assistant, you'll help keep the hospital running smoothly while providing compassionate care to our patients.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting with the daily care and comfort of hospitalized animalsWalking dogs and helping meet patients' basic care needsCleaning kennels, cages, litter boxes, and treatment areasMaintaining a clean and organized hospital, including sweeping, mopping, and general housekeepingWashing dishes, bowls, laundry, and restocking suppliesPreparing exam rooms and treatment areas before and after appointments and proceduresSafely restraining animals during examinations and treatments under the direction of medical staffSupporting client visits and assisting the veterinary team as neededScheduleFull-time and part-time opportunities availableDay, evening, and rotating weekend shiftsSome holidays required as part of our 24-hour hospital scheduleShift differentials available for overnight, weekend, and holiday hoursQualificationsWe're looking for individuals who are eager to learn and enjoy working with animals.
Preferred qualifications include:
Previous experience handling animals is helpful but not requiredInterest in pursuing a career in veterinary medicineStrong communication and teamwork skillsDependable, organized, and willing to learnProfessional attitude and positive work ethicAbility to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and perform the physical duties of an active hospital environmentAbility to work comfortably around dogs, cats, and occasional large animal patients
