Join our Caring Team! Endless Mountains Veterinary Center, PC is seeking a compassionate Certified Veterinary Technician or Experienced Veterinary Assistant in our Tunkhannock, PA location! Under the supervision of a Lead Veterinary Technician, the Veterinary Technician or Assistant role will fulfill both the technical and customer service needs of the clinic. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with a steady- to- fast paced schedule, self-motivated and have a desire to learn and grow. They should be energetic, articulate, and have a positive attitude. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn new skills and develop their talents as a veterinary professional. Must have a passion for caring for animals and excellent customer service skills as the veterinary technician or assistant will work directly with animal owners.
Veterinary Technician or Assistant Duties and Responsibilities:
Obtaining and recording complete medical histories Obtaining and recording patient vitals Obtaining and processing digital radiographs Conduct technician visits Assist veterinarians and fellow technicians and assistants with medical, diagnostic, and surgical procedures Client communication and education Patient handling and restraint Phlebotomy Collection of blood, urine and fecal samples Intravenous catheter placement All phases of the anesthetic process (premedication, induction, intubation, monitoring, recovery) Preparing animals, instruments and equipment for surgery Drug calculations Recommending, running and processing in house and send out lab work Dental prophylaxis General cleaning Assist with reception duties as needed Starting wage is based on experience and skill and is determined through a hands-on, in-person interview process. Associate degree in Veterinary Technology - preferred.
Experience:
