Job Description Veterinary Assistant - Swift Creek Animal Hospital & Pet Resort Do you love animals, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and want to be part of a team that feels like family? Swift Creek Animal Hospital & Pet Resort is looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our crew of compassionate animal lovers.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Assisting our doctors during appointments, surgeries, and vaccinations
- Performing blood draws, taking X-rays, and caring for instruments & clippers
- Keeping exam rooms, floors, and hospital areas clean and welcoming
- Helping with bathing pets (rubber ducky playlist optional )
- Managing laundry (because clean towels = happy patients!)
- Communicating with clients, doctors, teammates, and referral clinics
- Submitting prescriptions and entering important patient information
- Assisting with inventory and making sure we never run out of the good stuff
- Lifting up to 40 lbs multiple times a day (think adorable but wiggly pups)
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant
- A friendly, team-oriented personality with great communication skills
- A love for animals and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed
- Someone who thrives in a busy, team-centered environment
