Job Description
Performance Equine Vets is seeking a motivated, dependable, and experienced Equine Sports Medicine & Surgical Assistant to work directly alongside a surgeon in a fast-paced, progressive equine practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their clinical skills while working with advanced sports medicine and surgical cases. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assisting with equine sports medicine appointments and procedures Preparing patients and equipment for surgical procedures Assisting during elective and emergency surgeries Operating and maintaining surgical and sports medicine equipment Preparing and maintaining sterile surgical packs and instruments Patient preparation, recovery, and post-operative care Invoicing for appointments, surgeries, and hospitalized cases Taking and maintaining accurate medical records Stocking supplies and maintaining inventory Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment Assisting with emergency cases and other hospital duties as needed Continuing education and professional growth within the practice
