Job Description
Job Overview:
- We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess relevant experience in the veterinary field.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians and technicians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures
- Handle and restrain animals during treatment
- Perform basic animal care tasks such as feeding, grooming, and exercising
- Maintain cleanliness and sterility of exam rooms and hospital
- Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian
- Provide support in emergency situations and veterinary critical care
- Educate pet owners on animal health and wellness
Qualifications:
- Experience in animal handling and restraint
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques for medical procedures
- Familiarity with equine care is a plus
- Understanding of basic animal care principles
- Certification as a Veterinary Assistant is preferred but not required
