This energetic role offers the opportunity to work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and pet owners to ensure every animal receives attentive and professional treatment. Whether assisting with animal handling, laboratory procedures, or clinic operations, you'll play a vital role in creating a positive environment for both animals and clients. This paid position is perfect for passionate animal lovers eager to grow their veterinary experience in a fast-paced, rewarding setting. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with animal examinations, treatments, and procedures including medication administration and animal restraint Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques for various species, including dogs, cats, and equines Support animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, cleaning enclosures, and maintaining overall animal welfare standards Prepare animals for surgeries or diagnostic tests by setting up equipment and ensuring aseptic techniques are followed Manage front desk duties including client check-in/out, appointment scheduling, and answering client inquiries professionally Maintain accurate records of treatments, medications administered, laboratory results, and patient histories in compliance with clinic protocols Support laboratory procedures such as sample collection and processing while adhering to veterinary terminology and safety standards Skills Proven kennel experience along with animal handling expertise across multiple species Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, anatomy, physiology, and laboratory procedures Experience in pet care, animal restraint techniques, and medication administration including injections or catheterization Familiarity with veterinary critical care practices and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during procedures Ability to perform front desk responsibilities efficiently while providing excellent customer service Equine experience is a plus for handling larger animals confidently in a clinical setting Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive attitude to support team collaboration and client education This role is designed for motivated individuals eager to develop their veterinary career while making a meaningful difference in animals' lives.
