The position will be filled by someone who can meet the personal skills needed for client interaction, ability to maintain medical records and thoroughness of duties performed. Upon hire you must be able to work with canines and felines in a variety of positions, must be able to stand for long periods of time, able to frequently lift 30-50lbs, perform venipuncture and IVC placement, anesthesia calculations, induction, monitoring, and maintenance of anesthesia, as well as have vaccine and preventative knowledge. Additionally your responsibilities may consist of receiving and discharging patients, answering a multi phone line, attending to client needs, as well as handling various administrative tasks/special projects. We are seeking to fill a full time-permanent position. Must be willing to work 35-40 hours a week, year round (weekends and holidays required on a scheduled rotation). We also expect you to pick up 1-3 kennel shifts a month on Saturday evenings and/or Sunday mornings and evenings (approx 1-2 hour shifts). We want an individual who has knowledge of Microsoft office and the ability to use computers, email, as well as excellent phone etiquette. Applicants must be presentable at all times, cleanliness, good personal hygiene, and a great attitude are a must! SC State LVT preferred but commensurate experience will be considered. Knowledge of Cornerstone software a plus! Some vacation and pet benefits are available following a 90 day probationary period. Must include an up to date resume and cover letter with references. Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug test. Must be proficient in all areas described or your application will not be considered.
