Full Time (36 Hours a Week) Experienced Veterinary Assistant

Seneca Animal Hospital is a rapidly growing comprehensive, state-of-the-art mixed practice facility that provides compassionate care to all animals. SAH is seeking full time highly skilled Veterinary Assistant to be part of our Team. Applicant must possess excellent communication skills, great attention to detail, and be very dependable. Responsibilities and Duties Exceptional customer service skills; helping clients and their pets in an effective, efficient, and friendly manner. Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast pace environment. Proficient with veterinary terminology Set up and assist with surgeries, ultrasound, and radiology Cleaning and maintaining all equipment and areas of the hospital Patient discharge and client education Perform other duties as assigned by the executive staff

Position Qualifications:

Flexible Scheduling :

Hours include day, evening, and holidays. Urgent Care Evenings and Holidays are on a rotation.

Education :

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Physical :

Must have the strength and stamina to work on feet throughout the shift and lift up to 30 pounds.

Ergonomic :

An employee in this position must be capable of safely working in an environment with potential exposure to hazardous materials, infectious and zoonotic diseases.

Desired Experience:

Greater than 1 year of experience working in a veterinary hospital or veterinary specialty or emergency as a licensed veterinary technician or veterinary assistant. Experience working with AVImark software. Wage to commensurate with experience. Job Type:

Full-time or Part-time. Hours for full-time positions range from 35 to 40 hours per week, and for part-time positions, 20 to 34 hours per week.
