Job Description

We have been in the community for over 20 years and insist on giving the best possible care to our clients and their pets. We are looking for a motivated and dedicated individual with experience as a veterinary technician to assist us with the continued growth of our Veterinary Hospital. Qualified applicants must have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, willingness to put clients and patients first, great communication skills, flexibility in schedule, ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment and possess a well rounded technical skill set. LVMT preferred, but will consider a non-licensed applicant with a technical skill set of a minimum (1 year) of recent experience in a veterinary hospital.
MAJOR JOB REQUIREMENTS
This is a full-time position. We are currently open 7:30am-6:00pm M-F and 8:00am-2:00pm on Saturdays. Availability to work as part of our Saturday rotation every third Saturday is a requirement of employment. Availability to work as part of our Sunday on-call rotation once a month is a requirement of employment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Obtaining and recording patient history Physical exams and assessment Venipuncture Catheter placement Laboratory procedures Pharmacy Radiology Inducing and monitoring anesthesia Dental prophylaxis Surgical preparation and assisting Patient recovery and nursing care
