Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Vet Tech to assist our Lead tech in surgery prep. HQHVSN experience is a plus . You will play a crucial part in providing high-quality care for animals while assisting veterinarians in spay and neuter. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal welfare and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Hiring at this time for Mondays and Wednesdays. Pay based on experience. Duties Prepare animals for the veterinarian Before and during examinations and surgical procedures. Perform routine laboratory tests and analyze samples. Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian. Initiate and monitor animal patients during anesthesia and recovery. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient. Provide education to pet owners on proper animal care and husbandry practices. Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilization of instruments using aseptic techniques. Skills Proven experience as a Veterinary Technician in a veterinary clinic. Strong understanding of animal husbandry practices to ensure the well-being of pets. Experience in veterinary critical care settings is highly desirable. Competency in laboratory procedures, including sample collection and analysis.
