Job Description
Overview:
- We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess knowledge in veterinary practices and terminology.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures
- Handle and restrain animals during treatment
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic and kennels
- Provide compassionate care to animals in the clinic
- Monitor animal behavior and condition
Qualifications:
- Experience in animal care, handling, or veterinary settings
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal physiology
- Ability to work with a variety of animals including equine and pets
- Familiarity with pet sitting and pet care practices
- Proficiency in handling animals safely and effectively
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Equine experience
- Laboratory skills
