Job Description

We are currently seeking a candidate who is confident in placing catheters, monitoring anesthesia, and assisting in surgery. Please note that we are not looking to train candidates in these areas at this time, as this is not a training position. We're a full-service, privately owned small and exotic animal practice located just 30 minutes north of Nashville in Pleasant View, TN. We're looking for a Veterinary Technician or Assistant to join us 3 days a week (MWF) with potential for more as we grow. What We're Really Excited About We're especially looking for someone confident in placing catheters, monitoring anesthesia, and assisting in surgery . Experience in these areas is a huge plus as our hospital continues to grow and expand its services. What You'll Be Doing Assisting with exams, surgery, treatments, and procedures Placing catheters, prepping patients, and monitoring anesthesia Performing lab work, radiographs, and patient care Communicating with clients about their pet's care (with compassion and confidence) Keeping things clean, organized, and running smoothly Supporting a team that supports you You Might Be a Great Fit If You Have at least 1 year of vet clinic experience Are confident with restraint, venipuncture, medications, and lab work Have strong skills in catheter placement and surgical support Are comfortable around dogs, cats, and exotics (or excited to learn!) Can lift 50 lbs with help and are okay being on your feet Stay calm under pressure, are kind to animals (and people), and eager to learn Have exotic animal experience—or are open to training with them! $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
