Job Description

Description Bastrop Veterinary Hospital is seeking a compassionate, dependable Kennel Technician to help provide exceptional care for our boarding and hospitalized patients. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with animals and is interested in growing a career in veterinary medicine. Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role: Feed, water, walk, and monitor boarding and hospitalized pets. Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, treatment areas, and exam rooms. Bathe patients as directed. Wash, fold, and restock laundry and hospital supplies. Clean food and water bowls, litter boxes, and bedding. Assist the veterinary team with patient handling and restraint. Report patient concerns promptly. Maintain a clean, organized hospital while following all safety and sanitation protocols.
What You'll Bring:
Passion for animal care and patient well-being. Reliable, positive, and team-oriented. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous kennel, animal care, or veterinary experience is a plus but not required.
