Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and skilled Experienced Veterinary Technician/Assistant to join our growing veterinary team. In this important role, you will help provide exceptional animal care, assist veterinarians with medical procedures, and ensure a smooth flow of daily operations within our busy practice. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help deliver top-tier veterinary services, ensuring our patients receive compassionate and comprehensive care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with small and large animals, in a fast-paced environment that values teamwork and continuous learning. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures Animal restraint and animal handling techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff during examinations and treatments. Maintain detailed records of patient histories, treatments, medications, and laboratory results in compliance with clinic protocols. Conduct pet care activities including feeding, administering medications, and monitoring recovery post-procedure. Assist with animal husbandry duties such as cleaning kennels, maintaining hygiene standards in treatment areas, and ensuring a safe environment for all animals. Provide dog training support or pet grooming services when appropriate to enhance client satisfaction and animal well-being. Requirements Previous veterinary experience is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and pet care Hands-on experience with animal restraint Proficiency in laboratory procedures, X-ray imaging, and aseptic techniques. Excellent animal handling skills combined with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in critical care situations. Familiarity with dental terminology related to veterinary dentistry procedures. A positive attitude with a commitment to compassionate animal care and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
