The Kennel Assistant plays an important role in ensuring the comfort, cleanliness, and well-being of our patients while supporting the veterinary staff with daily hospital operations. This position also requires regular interaction with clients, so candidates must demonstrate professionalism, excellent communication skills, and the highest level of customer service at all times. Responsibilities Feed, water, and care for hospitalized and boarding animals Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, treatment areas, and hospital facilities Walk and exercise dogs as needed Monitor animals for changes in behavior, appetite, or health and report concerns to veterinary staff Assist with animal restraint during examinations and treatments Launder bedding and maintain cleanliness throughout the clinic Stock supplies and assist with general housekeeping duties Greet and assist clients in a courteous and professional manner Answer basic client questions and direct inquiries to appropriate staff members Maintain a positive, welcoming environment for clients and their pets Provide compassionate care and attention to all patients Qualifications Previous animal care experience preferred but not required Ability to safely handle dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills Professional appearance and demeanor Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently Strong attention to detail and cleanliness Ability to lift, bend, stand, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed Excellent communication and teamwork skills To Apply Please submit your resume and relevant work history for consideration.
