Job Description

Stuebner Airline Veterinary Hospital is a multi-doctor practice part of the NVA community. We are seeking individuals to help restrain animals for exams and treatments. This position will also include collecting full vitals on cats/dogs, walking/feeding hospitalized pets, sterilizing surgery instruments/packs, and stocking supplies. We currently need
PART-TIME
to
FULL-TIME
help for morning (6:45am- 3pm) or evening (noon-7pm) shifts. Individuals who apply should be able to continue to work full time after the summer break. Qualifications Proficient in animal handling and pet care Familiarity with animal restraint techniques for nervous animals Experience in animal husbandry Understanding of basic disease process Sterilization techniques and use of autoclave Familiarity with nail trims, anal gland expression, and ear cleanings Summary Your core skills in animal restraint will be seen in exam rooms with our clients, radiographs, sample collection, and monitoring vitals. You will be working directly alongside the veterinarians and technicians in the hospital and will have multiple opportunities to learn more about the veterinary field! Responsibilities Assist in the daily care and handling of animals, ensuring their comfort and safety. Perform animal restraint techniques during examinations, treatments, and post anesthesia. Assist with laboratory sample collections and laboratory test. Sterilization of instruments and monitoring equipment Support veterinary staff with animal husbandry tasks. maintain cleanliness in the clinic, and stock supplies.
