Job Description:
Are you a passionate and skilled Veterinary Technician looking to make a real difference in the lives of pets and their owners? We're seeking a dedicated individual to join our privately owned, AAHA Accredited veterinary practice. As a Veterinary Technician , you'll be an essential part of our team, working closely with veterinarians and other team members to provide exceptional care and ensure efficient clinic operations. Your expertise will directly contribute to improving the quality of life for our beloved patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care & Treatment:
Provide direct patient care, monitor hospitalized pets, and assist with treatments.
Medical Support:
Prepare and administer medications, perform routine in-house laboratory work, and assist with surgical procedures.
Record Keeping:
Accurately update and maintain patient medical records.
Client Education:
Educate clients on veterinary care, procedures, and preventative health recommendations.
Inventory & Maintenance:
Maintain inventory of supplies, ensure the cleanliness and organization of the hospital, including laundry, stocking, and equipment maintenance.
What You'll Bring:
Medical Knowledge:
A strong understanding of pharmaceutical drugs, common diseases (symptoms, transmission, treatment, and prevention), and basic preventative health care recommendations.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in animal handling, collecting and processing lab samples, and performing basic medical procedures.
Compassion & Dedication:
A genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing the highest standard of care.
Team Player:
Ability to collaborate effectively with veterinarians and the rest of the clinic staff. This is an overview of the position, and the job responsibilities listed do not encompass the entire role. $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

This position has 4 shifts during the week and every other Saturday from 7:30 am - 12:30 pm, with weekend boarding animal care duties every 6-8 weeks, and regularly scheduled shifts around holidays. Does this schedule work for you?
