We are seeking a motivated and dependable Veterinary Technician Assistant to support our veterinary team in delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining a clean, efficient hospital environment.

Position SummaryThe Veterinary Technician Assistant works closely with veterinarians and veterinary technicians to assist with patient care, animal handling, cleaning, and daily clinic operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about animal health and interested in growing within the veterinary field.

Key ResponsibilitiesAssist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations and treatmentsSafely restrain and handle animals during proceduresPrepare exam rooms, surgical areas, and medical equipmentClean and sanitize kennels, treatment areas, and hospital spacesFeed, walk, and monitor hospitalized patientsMaintain accurate patient records and treatment logsAssist with laboratory sample collection and processingStock supplies and organize inventoryProvide excellent customer service to clients in person and over the phoneSupport front desk and administrative tasks as neededQualificationsPrevious experience working with animals preferred, but not requiredInterest in veterinary medicine and animal careAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically active environmentStrong communication, teamwork, and organizational skillsAbility to remain calm and compassionate in stressful situationsWillingness to learn and follow clinic protocols and safety proceduresPreferred QualificationsExperience in a veterinary clinic, animal shelter, kennel, or pet daycareBasic knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniquesEnrollment in or completion of a veterinary assistant or technician program is a plusBenefitsCompetitive payEmployee discounts on veterinary services and pet productsFlexible schedulingOpportunities for career advancement within the veterinary field
