Role:
Join our team at Charlottesville Cat Care Clinic as a Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant, where your passion for feline care meets exceptional customer service. Be a vital part of a dedicated team that ensures our furry patients receive the best care possible in a warm and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities:
Greet clients and their feline companions with a friendly and compassionate demeanor. Manage appointment scheduling and maintain accurate patient records. Ocassionally assist veterinarians with examinations and treatments as needed. Handle phone inquiries and route them to the appropriate staff member. Process payments and manage client accounts efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized reception area and exam rooms. Provide information to clients as indicated by technicians and doctors. Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and excellent patient care. Provide appropriate husbandry to boarders including feeding, cleaning, and delivering medications.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care environment preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Compassionate and patient attitude towards animals and their owners. Basic knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is a plus. Proficient in using computer systems for scheduling and record-keeping helpful. High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in veterinary assistance is a plus.
