Job Description
Overview:
- We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for animals and possess a strong background in pet care and veterinary practices.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures
- Handle and restrain animals during treatment
- Provide compassionate care to animals in distress
- Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian
- Perform laboratory tests and take X-rays
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the veterinary facility
- Educate pet owners on animal care and welfare
Requirements:
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology
- Ability to handle animals with care and compassion
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
