Animal Hospital of Emporia is a small animal hospital located in Emporia, Virginia which is due south of Richmond, 10 miles from the North Carolina border, and 15 miles north of Roanoke Rapids. We are seeking Veterinary Assistant/kennel assistant.

Duties will include:

Pet restraint, assisting in surgery/radiology, keeping exam rooms/hospital clean, blood collection/samples preparation. Checking in patients, collecting payments, reviewing discharge instructions and medications with clients will also be required. Must be comfortable with answering phones, scheduling appointments. Communication is an essential for the family-like atmosphere.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent Must be able to work a flexible schedule Recent experience at a veterinary hospital or working with animals (dog and cat) preferred but not required, we are willing to train the right candidate.
