Job Description

Franklin Farm Veterinary Clinic is an independent practice seeking a full-time or part-time licensed veterinary technician or veterinary assistant to join our growing team who has an interest in general practice, monitoring anesthesia, dental procedures, behavior and use of fear free techniques, and leadership. We see canine and feline patients and practice fear free techniques, and offer professional fear free training. We work closely with our patients and their pet parents so that our patients receive the best individualized care. We cultivate long-term relationships with our clients and their pets to support the human animal bond and fear free practice culture. Skill set includes providing quality veterinary care for all pets, advocating for our patients, educating clients on all aspects of pet health, and ensuring a safe and effective hospital environment. We will utilize your skills and training in: anesthesia digital radiology dentistry and digital dental radiology ultra sound therapeutic laser treatment assisting in acupuncture fear free handling and behavior venipuncture client education written/verbal communication and record keeping. We provide on the job training, as well. We use Avimark veterinary software and are paperless. We utilize Idexx for our in-house and outside laboratory. We are located in Northern Virginia and close to most everything: schools, shopping, culture, night life of DC, and Virginia wine country. We offer our employees excellent compensation and benefits.
