We're looking for someone who is compassionate, dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys both patient care and client communication . Veterinary experience is required. Our ideal candidate is a positive, team-oriented individual with a passion for veterinary medicine who can confidently move between the front desk and treatment areas. What You'll Do Obtain patient histories, weights, and vital signs and accurately document them in AVImark Assist veterinarians and licensed veterinary technicians with appointments, treatments, and procedures Safely restrain patients for examinations, venipuncture, treatments, and medication administration Collect and process blood, urine, fecal, and other laboratory samples Perform in-house laboratory testing and assist with radiology Operate and maintain IDEXX laboratory equipment Fill and prepare prescription medications Assist with surgical and dental patient preparation and minor procedures Maintain clean, sanitary exam rooms, treatment areas, kennels, and common areas Clean and maintain laboratory equipment, surgical instruments, packs, and autoclave Answer phones, schedule appointments, check clients in and out, and provide excellent customer service Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients regarding their pets' care Work collaboratively with doctors, technicians, assistants, and other team members Qualifications At least 1 year of veterinary medicine experience required Comfortable handling and restraining dogs and cats Knowledge of veterinary medical procedures and terminology Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented and able to work independently while also being a strong team player AVImark experience preferred, but not required Experience with IDEXX laboratory equipment is a plus Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain on your feet for extended periods Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities Schedule Full-time 4-day work week 8-10 hour shifts Monday-Friday No nights or weekends Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Health insurance Paid time off Employee discount Flexible scheduling Supportive, privately owned practice environment If you're an experienced veterinary professional who enjoys caring for patients AND connecting with clients, we'd love to hear from you!
