Job Description

Kennel Operations Technician The Oaks Veterinary Clinic is looking for a motivated, dependable, and hardworking Kennel Operations Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who loves animals and understands that excellent patient care begins with a clean, safe, and organized environment. Kennel Technicians are responsible for the daily care of boarding and hospitalized pets, assisting veterinary staff, and helping maintain the cleanliness of the entire facility. Responsibilities Feed animals and provide fresh water Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, runs, and boarding areas Exercise, walk, and socialize pets Monitor animals for signs of illness, injury, or stress Bathe animals and assist the groomer as needed Assist veterinary technicians with patient restraint during appointments and procedures Wash bedding, towels, and other laundry Sweep, mop, dust, vacuum, empty trash, and maintain cleanliness throughout the clinic Clean exam rooms, treatment areas, and common spaces Stock supplies and assist with general clinic organization Perform other duties as assigned to support the veterinary team Schedule Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM Rotating weekends and holidays required Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age Able to lift 40 pounds or more Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the workday Able to work in a fast-paced environment Strong multitasking and time-management skills Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays Comfortable learning proper restraint techniques for dogs and cats Willingness to learn and take direction Positive attitude and strong work ethic Previous experience working with animals is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn and committed to providing excellent care for our patients. A background check and drug test are required for this position.
Please note:
This position involves significant cleaning and housekeeping duties. Candidates should be comfortable performing physical labor and maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the clinic.
