Veterinary Assistant/Technician

As a Veterinary Assistant/Technician at 610 Animal Hospital, you will play a vital role in supporting our veterinary team and ensuring the highest standards of animal care. We are looking for a candidate to work full time or part time , mostly evening shift from 3 pm - 9:45 pm , Every Saturdat or every other Saturdays , may be one morning shift as required for practice. This position requires special hours including working weekends and LATE EVENINGS.. Must be over 18; must have own transportation and be able to work a varied schedule of days and evening shifts as required by the hospital. You must be a team player; self-starter and be able to complete checklists . Only qualified candidates with the flexibility to work will be considered. WORK EXPERIENCE.

Responsibilities Animal Restrain,Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds Check in the client, prepare the exam room,take history, check out the client. Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures, Administer vaccine, draw blood, administer medications, and treatments as directed by veterinarians. Perform laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays. Provide compassionate care to animals, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Educate pet owners on proper animal care and health practices. Maintain accurate records of patient information and treatments. Requirements Previous experience as a veterinary assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of animal behaviour and husbandry practices. Familiarity with laboratory procedures and X-ray technology is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
