$21.00 per hour Overview Are you passionate about animals and providing excellent customer service? We are looking for a dedicated Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist to join our team! This role is vital in ensuring pet owners and their beloved companions feel welcomed and supported. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a love for animal care, and the ability to manage various responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Welcome clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism. Schedule appointments and efficiently manage the clinic's calendar. Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services and pet care. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is up to date. Process payments and assist with billing inquiries. Support veterinary staff by handling and restraining animals during examinations. Educate clients on pet care, vaccination schedules, and preventive health measures. Keep the front desk area clean and organized while following aseptic techniques. Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to ensure seamless clinic operations. Qualifications Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting preferred. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, basic animal handling, and proper restraint methods. Familiarity with aseptic techniques and clinic protocols. Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to safely and compassionately handle dogs, cats, and other pets. Experience in front desk operations or customer service is a plus. A genuine passion for animals and a commitment to their well-being. Benefits Employee discounts on pet care services. Paid time off.
