We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician and Veterinary Assistant to join our team. You will assist our veterinarian in providing high-quality care to our canine and feline patients. Your role will involve a variety of tasks, including assisting veterinary staff, performing administrative task, patient care, and laboratory procedures. If you have a passion for animals and want to make a difference in their lives, we encourage you to apply.Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarian with examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
- Dispense medications as directed by the veterinarian
- Perform laboratory tests and analyze results
- Prepare animals for surgery and monitor their post-operative recovery
- Provide nursing care to hospitalized animals
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Check patients in/out, set up appointments, and answer phone calls
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
- Clean and maintain the veterinary facility and equipment
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work as a team and independantly
- Ability to treat clients/other staff with kindness, compassion, and respect
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and cats safely and confidently
- Previous experience as a veterinary assistant is preferred but not required
- Ability to lift 40 lbs from the floor to exam table We offer competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.
Pay:
