Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in veterinary care and be passionate about providing exceptional support to both animals and their owners. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients while assisting veterinarians in various medical procedures. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures. Perform animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both the animal and staff. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian. Monitor patients' vital signs and overall health during procedures. Conduct laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient. Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures. Provide grooming services as needed to maintain the hygiene of animals. Ensure that all equipment is properly sterilized and maintained. Support animal husbandry practices to promote healthy living environments for all animals. Requirements Proven experience as a Veterinary Technician or similar role in a veterinary setting. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal physiology. Familiarity with veterinary critical care practices is preferred. Experience with animal catheterization and handling techniques. Ability to perform animal restraint safely and effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members. A compassionate attitude towards animals and their well-being. Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology is preferred but not required. Licensure, while not required, is preferred. Join us in making a difference in the lives of animals every day!
