Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as an Animal Care Technician and become a vital part of providing compassionate, high-quality care to dogs and cats. In this energetic role, you will support veterinary professionals by maintaining clean, safe, and well-organized animal environments, assisting with medical procedures, and ensuring the well-being of each patient. Your dedication will directly contribute to advancing animal health and comfort in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to develop your skills in animal husbandry, veterinary care, and client service. Duties Assist with animal intake, discharge, and daily care routines across various species, including dogs and cats. Maintain clean and sanitary kennels, cages, and treatment areas following aseptic techniques to prevent infection. Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques during examinations and procedures. Support veterinary staff with medication administration, injections, catheterizations, and other medical treatments. Monitor animals' health status by observing behavior, vital signs, and physical condition; report any concerns promptly. Maintain accurate records of treatments, medications administered, and observations in accordance with veterinary protocols. Requirements Prior kennel experience or animal husbandry background is highly preferred, but not necessary. Experience working in veterinary clinics or with veterinary technicians is advantageous.
