Job Overview Join our team as a Licensed Veterinary Technician and become a vital part of providing exceptional animal care! In this role, you will support our veterinarian in delivering high-quality medical services, assist with patient diagnostics, and ensure the well-being of our patients. Responsibilities Assist Veterinarian with clinical procedures including animal restraint, catheterization, and laboratory testing to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatments. Perform animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, grooming, and maintaining cleanliness to promote optimal health and comfort. Conduct dental cleanings and understand dental terminology to support oral health care for pets. Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to minimize stress and injury. Operate diagnostic equipment including X-ray machines, ensuring proper aseptic technique and safety protocols. Maintain detailed records of patient care, laboratory results, and treatment plans in compliance with veterinary standards. Rotating weekend kennel duties Qualifications Valid license as a Veterinary Technician in the state of Alabama. Experience working with dogs, cats, or other animals; kennel experience is a plus. Familiarity with laboratory procedures, X-ray operation, and veterinary critical care practices. Strong animal handling skills including restraint techniques and pet grooming. Ability to perform animal catheterization and maintain aseptic techniques during procedures.
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
