Animal Clinic of the Ozarks is a busy, two-doctor veterinary general practice that has made a lasting impact in the community. Our loyal clientele and commitment to high-quality veterinary care have helped us build a welcoming, family-like environment where team members support one another and work together to provide excellent patient care.

Our veterinary team cares for small animals and pocket pets and offers a wide range of services, including in-house diagnostics, digital radiology, Companion Laser, ultrasound, and endoscopy. This is a great opportunity for a veterinary technician who enjoys a fast-paced environment and wants to use their skills across a variety of cases.

Job DescriptionAs a veterinary technician, you'll play an important role in supporting our doctors and providing hands-on patient care.
Your responsibilities will include:
Triaging incoming patients and obtaining accurate patient historiesSafely restraining pets using low-stress handling techniquesCollecting, processing, and analyzing blood, urine, fecal, and skin samplesPerforming diagnostic imaging, including positioning and capturing radiographsAssisting with dental radiographs when neededProviding nursing care for hospitalized patients with varying levels of stabilityAdministering medications and treatments as directedPreparing patients for surgery and assisting during proceduresMonitoring anesthesia and surgical patientsCommunicating treatment plans and veterinary recommendations clearly with clientsMaintaining accurate medical records and supporting efficient hospital flowQualificationsWe're looking for a veterinary technician who brings a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine passion for veterinary medicine.
The ideal candidate will have:
At least 1 year of veterinary technician experienceCVT, RVT, or LVT credentials are a plusStrong communication and exceptional client service skillsExperience with laboratory sample collection and processingConfidence with radiology and anesthesia monitoringKnowledge of preventative care, surgical procedures, and day-to-day veterinary hospital operationsA dependable, self-motivated approach and commitment to arriving prepared and on timeOpenness to constructive feedback and a desire to continuously improve your veterinary skillsAdditional InformationWe offer our staff:
