Veterinary Technician Shackleford Road Veterinary Clinic

- Minimum requirement of a high school diploma. Hospital experience preferred for veterinary assistant position. Minimum 1 year hospital experience and/or CVT/RVT license for veterinary technician position. Language Ability
- Ability and read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees at the clinic. Math Ability
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and dosages. Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills
- To perform this job successfully, the individual will need to become competent with veterinary software. Previous experience with Cornerstone is preferred. Physical Demands
- The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
