We are a high-volume hospital that practices quality medicine and surgery on shelter and privately owned animals. We are also a Penn-Foster certified hospital and are looking for an experienced RVT to teach and mentor students. We perform 20-60 surgeries per day, care for 200-450 shelter animals, hold weekly community wellness/vaccine clinics and offer compassionate/private euthanasia services for public pets. We are a full-service hospital that has in-house lab equipment (IDEXX), digital X-ray (plus digital dental X-ray), and a fully equipped surgical suite with 2 heated tables and Cardell monitors. The ideal candidate will be able to navigate the complexities of shelter medicine/surgery, community service, and work alongside city and county animal control officers. We are looking for an RVT who has excellent communication skills, confident with anesthesia and assisting in surgery, performing dental procedures and compassionate euthanasia.
