The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in veterinary practices, animal handling, and clinical support, demonstrating a proactive approach to animal health and client service. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures, ensuring all protocols are followed with precision. Perform animal restraint and handling using humane techniques to facilitate safe and effective treatment. Conduct laboratory tests, prepare samples, and operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines to aid in accurate diagnosis. Maintain detailed medical records, including patient histories, treatment plans, and procedural documentation. Support pet care activities such as grooming, feeding, administering medications, and monitoring recovery processes. Manage animal husbandry tasks including cleaning kennels, feeding schedules, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for all animals. Assist with dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and performing animal dental care with proper aseptic techniques. Handle pet grooming and dog training activities to improve animal comfort and behavior in the clinic setting. Support veterinary critical care efforts by monitoring vital signs, administering treatments, and assisting in emergency situations. Operate equipment related to laboratory testing and radiography while adhering to strict safety protocols. Skills Proven experience as a veterinary technician animal care role with strong veterinary terminology knowledge. Extensive kennel experience combined with animal husbandry skills for diverse species including dogs, cats. Proficiency in animal restraint techniques, catheterization procedures, and aseptic techniques essential for clinical success. Familiarity with veterinary critical care practices and laboratory testing methods to support urgent patient needs. Knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, and pet care best practices for comprehensive treatment support. Ability to handle dogs confidently using dog training techniques and pet grooming skills to ensure animals are comfortable during procedures. Experience operating diagnostic tools such as X-ray machines and laboratory equipment for accurate results. Strong understanding of veterinary critical care procedures along with excellent animal handling capabilities across various species.
