  • Part-time, Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and welfare, along with the necessary skills to assist veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to our patients. This role involves working closely with animals, their owners, and the veterinary team to ensure the best outcomes for our furry friends. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures. Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis. Handle and restrain dogs and other animals safely during procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kennel area. Utilize veterinary terminology effectively in communication with staff and clients. Implement animal husbandry practices to ensure optimal care for all animals. Provide basic nursing care and monitor patients post-surgery or during treatment. Assist in dental procedures and understand dental terminology related to animal care. Participate in veterinary critical care situations as required. Requirements Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology is preferred, not required. Must have high volume spay/neuter experience. Proficiency in dog handling techniques and animal restraint methods. Must be comfortable in anesthesia, proficient in intubation and IV Catheter placement Knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal husbandry principles is essential. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being.
