Job Description

Registered Veterinary Technician (Surgery) - SAGE Concord Full-Time 4/10 hr shifts per week
Compensation:
$32-$42/hour, plus a $3,000 Sign-On Bonus!
Shift Differential:
Additional $5.50/hour for hours worked between 6PM-6AM About SAGE Concord SAGE Concord is a premier provider of specialty and emergency veterinary care, delivering a comprehensive range of services including Emergency, Critical Care, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Imaging, Neurology, Oncology, and Integrative Medicine. As a Surgery RVT, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality surgical care to our patients. You'll work alongside board-certified surgeons and highly skilled veterinary professionals in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Preoperative Care:
Prepare surgical suites assist with patient preparation.
Anesthesia:
Administer, monitor, and adjust anesthesia during procedures, ensuring patient safety.
Surgical Assistance:
Assist surgeons by providing instruments, maintaining aseptic technique, and anticipating needs.
Postoperative Care:
Monitor patient recovery, administer medications, maintain accurate medical records.
Radiography:
Capture and process diagnostic X-rays as needed for surgical procedures.
Equipment Maintenance:
Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical equipment and instruments.
Client Communication:
Provide clear, compassionate guidance on postoperative care and home recovery instructions.
Emergency Response:
Assist with emergency surgical procedures when needed. Any other duties as assigned. Who You Are We're seeking a dedicated, reliable, and team-oriented RVT who thrives in a surgical setting. You value patient care, precision, and strong communication.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Active and current California RVT license is required Clinical experience in veterinary surgery Strong mathematical skills (drug dosages, CRIs, estimates) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
