The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care for animals in our facility. This position requires a strong understanding of veterinary practices, excellent communication skills, and a passion for animal welfare. As a Veterinary Technician, you will assist veterinarians in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions while ensuring the comfort and safety of our patients. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian. Perform dental cleanings and maintain dental records using proper terminology. Monitor animal vital signs and provide critical care when necessary. Conduct routine laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis. Maintain accurate medical records for each patient. Provide education to pet owners on proper animal care and training techniques. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the kennel area, including grooming when required. Assist with animal catheterization procedures as needed. Experience The ideal candidate will possess: A background in veterinary technology or a related field. Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures. Experience in animal care, including handling various species safely. Knowledge of kennel operations and maintenance. Skills in dog training or behavioral management are preferred. Experience in veterinary critical care settings is highly desirable. Proficiency in pet grooming techniques is a plus. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to ongoing education and professional development within the veterinary field.
