At Lakeside Pet we provide thorough care and work with clients to provide a spectrum of treatment options the client can afford. We do not use scare tactics to upsell clients. We take the time to educate clients on the value of services being provided, and we follow through after the appointment to ensure treatment is successful. Our highly skilled team is looking for an experienced veterinary technician who is hard working, smart, a good communicator, and has a good sense of humor. Our team has very low turnover, and no drama. Lakeside Pet Hospital never uses temporary or agency DVMs, so we are able to provide consistent care for our clients. We do in-house ultrasound, dentistry, surgeries, Idexx bloodwork and urinalysis, and pharmacy. Applicants should be comfortable with preparing surgery suite and patients for anesthetic procedures including pre-op medications, induction/intubation, shaving and scrubbing surgical sites; Monitoring anesthesia; Keeping accurate anesthesia/surgical records; Recovering patients from anesthesia; Providing post-operative care including bandage changes, wound dressings and physical restrictions. Ability to perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement and fluids. Ability to properly position and take radiographs. Create and review estimates with clients for procedures. Physically able to lift up to 40 pounds. We are a Monday through Friday clinic, so that means never working weekends, nights or holidays.
