Friday:

5:00 PM - 2:00

AM Saturday:

5:00 PM - 2:00 AM Open all day Sunday through Monday morning Opening 7 days in June 5:00 PM-2:00 AM The RVT's plays a vital role in patient care, surgical support, triage, and client communication during weekend urgent care hours. Key Responsibilities and Patient Care Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and medication administration Calculate fluid rates, CRIs, and medication dosages accurately Monitor anesthesia and vital signs during soft tissue and orthopedic procedures Assist with surgeries, triage, and medical treatments Provide attentive nursing care to hospitalized patients Prepare patients for CT and diagnostic ultrasound (performed by outside specialists) Maintain detailed and accurate medical records Place NG tubes and proper NG tube care Client Communication Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners Provide thorough explanations of treatment plans and procedures Address questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy Hospital Operations Safely restrain patients and ensure staff safety Lift and carry up to 50 lbs when necessary Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow hospital safety protocols and procedures QualificationsEducation & Licensing Associate degree in Veterinary Technology (or equivalent) Current and valid RVT license in the State of California Controlled Substance Permit for VAs Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital Urgent care or emergency experience preferred Experience with SmartFlow and ezyVet is a plus Skills Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and anatomy Proficiency in venipuncture, radiology, surgical monitoring, and laboratory procedures Experience with IDEXX in-house lab equipment and IDEXX radiology Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced, high-stress environment Genuine passion for animal welfare and client care Benefits We offer a comprehensive benefits package including: 401(k) with matching Health, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance Paid time off CE allowance License reimbursement Professional development assistance Employee discount Flexible scheduling options If you are a motivated, compassionate RVT looking to make an impact in urgent care medicine, we encourage you to apply and grow with our team.
