In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians in delivering high-quality care to animals. Your expertise in veterinary terminology and hands-on skills will be crucial in ensuring the well-being of our patients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures. Perform animal catheterization and administer medications as directed. Monitor patients during veterinary critical care and recovery. Conduct laboratory tests and analyze results. Prepare animals for X-ray procedures and assist with imaging. Provide proper animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both staff and animals. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kennel area. Educate pet owners on animal husbandry practices and post-treatment care. Support dog training initiatives as needed, fostering positive behavior in animals. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient clinic operations. Requirements Proficiency in veterinary terminology is essential. Experience with animal catheterization and veterinary critical care is preferred. Familiarity with laboratory procedures and X-ray equipment is a plus. Strong skills in animal restraint techniques are required. Knowledge of kennel management practices is beneficial. Experience in dog training or equine handling is an advantage but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare.
