Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and possess the skills necessary to assist veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to a variety of animals. This role requires proficiency in veterinary terminology, animal handling, and the ability to perform various clinical procedures. The Veterinary Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our patients while supporting pet owners through their veterinary experience. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures. Perform animal handling and restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both animals and staff. Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian. Conduct routine laboratory tests and prepare samples for analysis. Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures and provide post-operative care. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient. Educate pet owners on proper animal husbandry, health care, and nutrition. Manage kennel operations, including cleaning Utilize veterinary terminology effectively in communication with team members and clients. Qualifications Strong skills in animal handling, restraint, and catheterization techniques. Familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures is essential.
