North Valley Veterinary Center is seeking a lasting relationship with an experienced veterinary technician to assist our Veterinarians with the primary medical support of our patients and clients. Position Overview Skills should be proficient in: Gathering pet history and obtaining TPR Triage for urgent/emergency care Knowledge of medications and uses Administering vaccines, injections, medications correctly via appropriate route of administration Hospitalized patient care (Establishing and monitoring IVF, completing orders for treatments, assisting DVMs with assessments, etc.) Outpatient care (Performing x-rays, lab work, nail trims, expressing anal glands, ear cleaning/flushing, etc.) Assisting in surgery by prepping pets for procedures, monitoring pets during anesthesia and recovery processes (Ability to perform dental cleanings and take dental x-rays if RVT ideal)
