Location:
ACCESS Pasadena Schedule:
Wed-Sat 8am-6:30pm Pay range: $22- $38 / hr (dependent upon experience and skills assessment)
- Additional weekend and evening differentials Full-time with comprehensive benefits package, CE and licensing reimbursement.
Technician Growth :
We care about setting our team up for long term success with our structured onboarding and Level Up program, led by Technician Trainers and Department Leads. This ensures that you are supported and get paid for the things you learn, increasing your skills and earning potential with each Level achieved. Support for pursuing your VTS is also provided with 3 VTS (with more up and coming!) already working across our ACCESS specialty teams. What you'll do:Quality Patient Care:
Go beyond basic vitals; think critically to evaluate complex patient trends, understand subtle normal/abnormal parameters, manage dynamic fluid therapy, medications and transfusions, and proactively care for chronic and acute medical patients.Anesthesia & Analgesia:
Confidently calculate medical dosages, manage complex CRIs, and perform precise dilutions. Safely run and monitor anesthesia for diagnostic procedures such as endoscopy or rhinoscopy, and maintain the confidence to alert doctors and adjust protocols immediately in the event of patient decompensation.Diagnostics & Imaging:
Assist with diagnostic workups by prepping and positioning patients for advanced imaging including fluoroscopy and CT. Support clinicians during ultrasound-guided procedures, confidently operate in-house laboratory equipment, and master the specialized care and sterilization of rigid and flexible endoscopes.Collaboration:
Obtain detailed medical histories from referring veterinarians and clients, perform safe and low-stress patient restraint, and deliver comprehensive, detailed patient rounds to ensure seamless, collaborative care during shift hand-offs and cross-department transfers.Compassionate Client Care:
Act as a vital bridge between our specialists and pet owners. Deliver clear, empathetic and supportive education on chronic disease management (such as diabetes or renal care), and offer comfort and clarity during emotionally challenging moments. What we're looking for: Current Registered Veterinary Technician in California. VTS or interest in pursuing specialty certifications is a plus. Strong to advanced knowledge and experience around patient nursing care, medical math and pharmacology.Driven, collaborative team player eager to work in a progressive environment.
